Process Engineer – Mineral Processing

About the role
SENET is looking for a Process Engineer to join its EPCM project team. The role involves designing, developing and optimising mineral processing plants and systems, ensuring projects are technically sound, cost‑effective and meet client requirements from concept through to commissioning.
Key responsibilities
- Develop process design criteria and allocate equipment titles under the guidance of the Principal Process Engineer.
- Generate mass and energy balances, block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams and operating/control philosophies.
- Produce P&IDs, functional specifications, utility and reagent requirements, and equipment schedules.
- Perform equipment sizing calculations, preliminary motor and power estimations, and OPEX calculations.
- Prepare documentation for HAZOP studies and support commissioning activities, including writing procedures, defining programmes and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure design intent is met during construction and start‑up.
Required profile
- B‑Tech or BSc in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- ECSA registration or progress towards registration is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in mineral processing within EPC/EPCM environments.
Required skills
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Computer literacy in the MS Office suite.
