Process Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

RCL Foods is seeking a Process Engineer to join its Pets Business Unit in Randfontein. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the factory towards world‑class performance, focusing on zero defects, waste, and losses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead focused improvement projects to reduce short stops and enhance production stability.
• Identify, propose, and implement cost‑saving and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Support new innovations, renovations, Value Improvement (VIP) and Brand‑Led Growth (BLG) projects within agreed time, scope and budget.
• Deploy World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methods and tools to eliminate losses and optimise productivity.
• Collaborate with R&D, brand, marketing, supply‑chain, quality, safety and engineering teams to deliver innovation and new business opportunities.

Required profile

• BSc/B.Tech/B.Eng. in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in the FMCG sector, preferably in food manufacturing and processing.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and logical problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders.
