Portfolio Developer – Retail Service Stations

About the role

The Portfolio Developer will manage, optimise and develop bp’s existing retail service‑station portfolio, ensuring it remains profitable, safe and compliant. You will work across contract renewals, upgrades, closures and new growth opportunities to support the four‑year portfolio roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise the service‑station portfolio to maximise long‑term value and profitability.
• Oversee contract renewals for Dealer‑Owned and Company‑Leased stations and negotiate commercial terms.
• Identify and recommend growth, upgrade, rebuild or rationalisation opportunities aligned with network strategy.
• Prepare, validate and present capital investment proposals, financial models and business cases.
• Drive portfolio initiatives through the capital value process, ensuring milestones are met.
• Coordinate property‑related improvements, including forecourt upgrades and convenience retail developments.
• Lead permitting and approval processes with municipalities and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor network performance, take corrective actions and ensure compliance with HSSE standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in portfolio and network management within the retail or energy sector.
• Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills.
• Experience developing and presenting business cases and financial models.
• Project delivery expertise, including coordination of external consultants and service providers.
• Knowledge of property, permitting and compliance requirements for service‑station assets.
