Legal Advisor

About the role

Discovery is seeking a proactive Legal Advisor to protect the Group’s legal interests and support its diverse business units. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, providing commercial and contractual guidance while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, amendments and templates aligned with Discovery’s strategy.
• Analyse contractual terms, manage risk, and resolve commercial disputes.
• Provide clear legal advice on a wide range of business issues, collaborating with internal teams and external counsel.
• Manage the Group’s Intellectual Property portfolio and oversee IT project contracting.
• Conduct training sessions on legal procedures and contract management.
• Stay up‑to‑date with legislation and communicate implications to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Completed LLB degree.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in financial services and IT contracting.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple external partners.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Excellent understanding of contract law and risk management.
• Knowledge of intellectual property and compliance matters.
