Immunisation Nurse – School and Community Clinics

About the role

The Immunisation Nurse will deliver school‑aged vaccination programmes and community clinic immunisations in Scarborough. Working on‑site, you will provide safe, evidence‑based care to children while supporting the wider service delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Vaccinate 20‑25 school children per hour during flu season.
• Collaborate with Programme Managers, Team Lead and Clinical Lead to ensure smooth service continuity.
• Promote and support the School Aged Immunisation Service across multiple sites.
• Deliver competent, evidence‑based patient care in schools and community clinics.
• Participate in clinical supervision, staff development and performance reviews.
• Report and monitor clinical incidents, near misses and complaints in line with organisational policies.
• Take part in audits, share findings and contribute to learning.
• Undertake Gillick competency assessments and obtain verbal consent from parents or caregivers.
• Attend team meetings and contribute constructively.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Registered nursing background with experience in immunisation delivery.
• Ability to assess Gillick competency and obtain verbal consent.
• Strong collaborative attitude and willingness to work across multiple locations.
• Commitment to reporting incidents and participating in audits.
