Engineering Lecturer and Module Coordinator

About the role

Stadio is seeking an Engineering Lecturer and Module Coordinator to join its Cape Town campus. The role combines teaching engineering modules both in‑venue and online, and overseeing the development and assessment of those modules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engineering lectures in‑person and via virtual platforms.
• Provide timely feedback to students and coordinate with fellow lecturers on teaching improvements.
• Assess student work, moderate internal assessments and manage the module Q&A forum.
• Identify and support students at risk, contribute to student induction and orientation.
• Maintain accurate teaching records and participate in campus meetings, recruitment and community engagement activities.
• Oversee the creation, review and updating of study guides and ensure alignment with prescribed textbooks.
• Draft formal assessments, conduct pre‑moderation, brief internal and external moderators and mark a set number of assessments.
• Lead annual meetings with campus lecturers to discuss assessment strategies and implement moderator feedback.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Mid‑level experience in higher education teaching or relevant industry practice.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students both onsite and remotely.
• Willingness to participate in professional development and scholarly teaching activities.
