Technical Specialist – Modern Workplace

About the role

Join a high‑performing Modern Workplace team in Cape Town, delivering secure Microsoft‑based solutions for enterprise clients. This 18‑month hybrid contract focuses on Microsoft Intune and endpoint management, combining technical expertise with automation and compliance responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and configure Microsoft Intune environments.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting and deployment tasks.
• Manage compliance policies, applications and device deployments.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access and MDM/MAM.
• Optimize SCCM/MECM, Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 solutions.
• Participate in rotational standby duties after the probation period.

Required profile

• Matric (NQF 3) and tertiary IT qualification (NQF 5+).
• Relevant certifications such as MD‑102, AZ‑900 or AZ‑104; ITIL knowledge is recommended.
• Ability to work on‑site in Cape Town with a hybrid work arrangement.

Required skills

• Microsoft Intune administration and configuration.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MDM/MAM.
• Microsoft Graph API and Intune app packaging (PSADT/Win32).
• SCCM/MECM, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365.
• Apple Business Manager, Samsung Knox, Google integrations.
