Syspro Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Syspro Administrator to join a well‑established multi‑unit organisation in Johannesburg. The role focuses on maintaining and optimising the Syspro ERP environment, ensuring reliable performance for finance, sales and stock control processes while supporting end‑users across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support the Syspro ERP system across all business units.
• Provide first‑line user support, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Configure and maintain ERP modules such as finance, sales and inventory.
• Manage user access, roles and permissions in line with business requirements.
• Develop and maintain reports using ERP tools and Microsoft Excel.
• Monitor system uptime, performance and reliability.
• Deliver user training and create training materials.
• Assist with system upgrades, enhancements and process improvements.
• Support broader IT issues when required.
• Maintain system security, backups and disaster‑recovery procedures.

Required profile

• Education in Information Systems or a related field.
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Syspro.
• Proven experience supporting end‑users in a business environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Syspro ERP administration and configuration.
• Microsoft SQL Server and scripting.
• Programming/scripting knowledge (e.g., C#).
• ODBC configuration and reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel for reporting.
