SEO & Web Optimisation Manager (Remote/Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SEO & Web Optimisation Manager to drive organic traffic, increase online revenue, and enhance website performance for our client’s B2C and B2B eCommerce platforms. The role can be performed remotely or on‑site in Cape Town or Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis and optimise on‑page content for product pages, collections, recipes and blogs.
• Optimise Shopify stores – titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, site search, filtering and mobile UX.
• Perform technical SEO audits, monitor Core Web Vitals, manage XML sitemaps, redirects, robots.txt and resolve crawl issues.
• Lead CRO initiatives using A/B testing, heat‑map analysis and customer‑journey optimisation to boost add‑to‑cart and checkout rates.
• Produce monthly traffic and revenue attribution reports using GA4, Search Console and Hotjar.

Required profile

• Proven experience improving visibility and performance of Shopify eCommerce sites.
• Strong knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console and CRO testing methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and content creators.
• Track record of delivering technical SEO and conversion optimisation projects under tight deadlines.
