Senior Systems Engineer – RADIUS & BNG Infrastructure

About the role

ShareShare is building Africa’s internet backbone by aggregating under‑utilised telecom assets. We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to own and scale the network‑facing infrastructure that authenticates ISP subscribers and integrates with partner BNG equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, deploy and monitor the central FreeRADIUS proxy and per‑partner FreeRADIUS instances.
• Maintain the provisioning pipeline that pushes subscriber credentials and plan attributes to partner RADIUS servers.
• Collaborate with the network team to define and validate BNG configuration changes for each ISP partner.
• Troubleshoot authentication failures and BNG integration issues in production environments.
• Design and implement scaling and failover mechanisms to support growth from 5 to 50 ISP partners.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on experience with RADIUS and broadband network infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work across network and software teams.
• Experience in a fast‑moving, venture‑backed environment is a plus.
