Senior Professional Nurse - Medical Expert

About the Position

Join a leading healthcare provider as a Senior Professional Nurse, where you will play a pivotal role in clinical excellence and patient safety. You will work closely with the Unit Manager to coordinate high-quality care, mentor nursing staff, and ensure an exceptional patient experience within a dynamic medical environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-level clinical care to patients while minimizing clinical risks.
• Support the Unit Manager in coordinating care and optimizing patient experience.
• Mentor and supervise new recruits, nursing students, and junior staff to foster professional growth.
• Ensure strict adherence to clinical quality standards and nursing protocols.
• Manage unit resources effectively, including staffing optimization and operational expenditure control (stocks and capital).
• Conduct clinical audits and ensure accurate nursing documentation.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Professional Nurse with a valid registration.
• Post-graduate degree in specialized nursing is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
• At least 1 year of proven experience in mentoring or clinical supervision.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage clinical risks and team dynamics.

Required Skills

• Advanced clinical expertise (Pharmacology, Patient Assessment, Care Planning).
• Life Support Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS.
• Proficiency in nursing legislation, infection prevention, and clinical auditing.
• Strong administrative skills including Microsoft Office and nursing documentation.
• Analytical skills for risk identification and interpretation of clinical data.
