Newly Admitted Attorney – Conveyancing / Mortgage Bonds

About the role

Join a well‑established legal practice in Kloof, Durban, as a Newly Admitted Attorney within the Real Estate Mortgage Bond Department. You will support a London‑based practice, handling conveyancing and mortgage bond transactions for local and international clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with mortgage bond and conveyancing transactions from initiation to completion.
• Draft, review, and manage legal documentation related to property and mortgage matters.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and partners both locally and abroad.
• Manage transactional and administrative processes to ensure timely and accurate matter handling.
• Provide general legal and conveyancing support to the team.

Required profile

• LLB degree (essential); BCom LLB is advantageous.
• Admitted Attorney with at least 1 year of experience in conveyancing and mortgage bonds.
• Experience in a large legal practice is preferred.
• Professional, polished, and client‑centric presentation.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities with strict deadline adherence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
