Multimedia Designer

About the role

Machine_ is a creative agency within Publicis Groupe, operating from Johannesburg. We are looking for a Multimedia Designer to join our studio and deliver integrated, platform‑neutral concepts across social and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design social‑media and digitally‑led creative, applying animation and digital design best practices.
• Prepare files in correct formats, sizes and dimensions with visual accuracy.
• Interpret briefs, follow brand specifications and flag potential issues early.
• Create presentation decks to showcase work and archive artwork for hand‑overs.
• Accurately capture time against completed briefs.
• Define or apply the aesthetic of overall campaigns and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Design across multiple channels and consistently produce creative elements against deliverable lists.
• Participate in brainstorms, conceptualisation and lead the craft and design of ideas.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Strong time‑management and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Problem‑solving mindset with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, platforms and South African popular culture.
• Ability to attend project reviews and contribute at least three new ideas.
