Material Requirement Planner – Longmeadow Site

About the role

Puratos is seeking a Material Requirement Planner to join its Longmeadow site in Gauteng, South Africa. Reporting directly to the Planning Supervisor, you will ensure timely availability of materials for production by analysing demand, managing inventory, and coordinating with procurement, production, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules, forecasts, and customer demand.
• Run MRP system outputs to generate purchase and production requirements and resolve material shortages.
• Monitor inventory levels, maintain safety stock, and conduct regular inventory reviews.
• Collaborate with procurement to place orders, track purchase orders, and expedite deliveries.
• Support production planning by aligning material availability with production schedules and adjusting plans as needed.
• Issue job cards and work instructions for picking, batching, and production.
• Assist new product introductions by ensuring material readiness.
• Generate data analysis and reporting on material flows.

Required profile

• Based at the Longmeadow site in Gauteng, South Africa.
• Reports to the Planning Supervisor.

Required skills

• Experience with MRP systems.
