Maintenance Team Leader - Engineering Department

About the Position

Join the world-class engineering team at Heineken Beverages, based at the prestigious JC Le Roux site in Stellenbosch. As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence by managing workshop administration, spare parts procurement, and supporting critical maintenance and CAPEX projects.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage workshop consumables and oversee the procurement of essential spare parts.
• Handle daily workshop administration and maintain accurate preventive maintenance data.
• Create purchase requisitions for maintenance requirements and CAPEX projects.
• Execute budgetary tasks, including data entry in SAP and participating in annual budget preparation.
• Generate maintenance intervention sheets and produce comprehensive monthly reports.
• Support audit processes and conduct full inventory counts.
• Actively participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and special improvement projects.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification; a background or qualification in Accounting is highly desirable.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within a maintenance or engineering environment.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, solve complex problems, and make informed decisions.
• Strong time management and coordination skills.
• Must have reliable transport and the flexibility to work overtime when required.
• Full authorization to live and work in South Africa is mandatory.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in SAP and Coupa procurement systems.
• Advanced mastery of the MS Office Suite.
• Strong expertise in maintenance administration and inventory management.
• Project management and continuous improvement (TPM) mindset.
• Financial literacy for budget tracking and reporting.
