Junior Industrial Engineer

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established manufacturing organisation in Pretoria. The Junior Industrial Engineer will support the optimisation of production processes, improve operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced industrial setting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current production workflows and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement efficient processes to enhance operational performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Support capacity planning, time‑studies and workflow optimisation.
• Contribute to strategic operational decisions and productivity projects.

Required profile

• BEng, BSc or BTech in Industrial Engineering.
• 1–5+ years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with continuous‑improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
• Proven ability to conduct time studies and capacity planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
