IT Infrastructure Support Officer

About the role

The IT Infrastructure Support Officer will ensure reliable IT services for end‑users by maintaining stable systems, resolving technical issues promptly, and supporting business continuity at the Prospecton site.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve help‑desk incidents and service requests within agreed timelines.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line support for hardware, software, and workplace technology.
• Maintain, repair and test hardware and networking equipment.
• Perform network testing, preventative maintenance and health checks.
• Support antivirus, backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and follow change‑management procedures.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• 3+ years of technical experience supporting Microsoft Server environments, desktops and networking.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication, organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
