IT Field Technician – Technical Support & On‑Site Services

About the role

The IT Field Technician provides on‑site and remote technical support for hardware, software, and networking equipment. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot systems while delivering high‑quality customer service across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and networking devices.
• Provide on‑site and telephone support in line with SLA timeframes.
• Respond to multichannel tickets, update ticket entries, and close incidents in the ITSM system.
• Conduct site surveys, compile technical reports, and submit daily/monthly service reports.
• Train end‑users on new hardware and software solutions.
• Escalate and manage IT infrastructure issues as required.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server applications.
• Understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, basic LAN/VPN networking, and cabling.
• Experience in systems troubleshooting and IT support.
• Excellent written communication, especially professional report writing.
• Professional appearance, punctuality, and a commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to work under pressure, on rotational shifts, including night and graveyard shifts.
