Engineering Specialist Surface (Level 2.6.1)

About the role

Join Valterra Platinum, a leading independent producer of Platinum Group Metals (PGM), as an Engineering Specialist Surface. Based at the Amandelbult concentrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of process and engineering equipment through strategic planning and technical excellence.

Main Missions

• Develop and execute the annual operational plan and 1-2 year budget planning.
• Provide high-level operational service to the SEM concentrator through daily, weekly, and monthly progress coordination.
• Manage resource allocation, including both human and material requirements, to optimize maintenance and production.
• Establish and implement standardized procedures for abnormal work scenarios to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Conduct audits on operational team satisfaction and monitor the overall quality of engineering work.
• Maintain rigorous technical data accuracy and manage engineering audit administration in collaboration with specialists and team leaders.
• Oversee labor records and prepare detailed ad-hoc technical reports.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in engineering management within a large-scale industrial or mining environment.
• Strong ability to perform long-term strategic planning (1-2 year horizons).
• Demonstrated expertise in budget management and resource optimization.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and ensure seamless coordination with operational departments.
• High level of precision in technical data management and reporting.
