Distribution Supervisor

About the role

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for driving a consistent service level across the delivery network. You will ensure superior point‑of‑contact execution, support profitability by exploiting delivery mode opportunities, and uphold the company’s competition strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Coach trade partners on MBFU, refusals and out‑of‑date deliveries (OODD) to improve productivity.
• Verify master data accuracy and conduct in‑trade owner‑driver standard checks.
• Maintain a minimum of four market visits per week, adhering to SOPs and OWDs.
• Lead quality management, ensuring the route delivery process meets quality standards and handling customer complaints.
• Train drivers to identify and manage quality‑related issues.
• Establish daily capacity occupation SLA with 2DCP and optimise refusals handling.
• Implement and monitor return policies and support service social systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to track performance and foster learning.

Required profile

• Relevant 3‑year tertiary degree or diploma, preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a customer‑service role within FMCG supply chain or logistics.
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
• Strong reliability, interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal communication and self‑management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
