Director, Enablement

About the role

impact.com is seeking a Director of Enablement to lead three inter‑related functions—Technical Writing, Product Enablement, and the Partnerships Experience Academy (PXA)—in Cape Town. This senior position will shape the operating model that delivers high‑quality documentation, training, certifications, and in‑product guidance for a fast‑growing B2B SaaS platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead managers and their teams across Technical Writing, Product Enablement, and PXA.
• Define priorities, operating rhythms, and quality standards for all three functions.
• Build a unified model that connects documentation, learning, certifications, video, and in‑app guidance.
• Partner with Product, Product Marketing, Support, and subject‑matter experts to capture and organize complex knowledge.
• Drive consistency, reusability, and scalability of content across teams.
• Coach leaders and develop a high‑performing organization in Cape Town.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical writing, product enablement, customer education, or documentation strategy teams.
• Experience managing managers or multiple related functions.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to organize complex information clearly.
• Excellent cross‑functional leadership and communication skills.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and translating broad direction into concrete execution.
