About the Position

Join the specialized surgical team at Mediclinic Winelands Orthopaedic Hospital as a Care Worker within our Theatre department. In this vital role, you will play a key part in ensuring patient safety and supporting our nursing staff to deliver high-quality clinical care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Main Missions

• Provide direct assistance to the nursing team to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality patient care.
• Identify, report, and mitigate potential risks in accordance with hospital safety policies and protocols.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by maintaining a compassionate and professional environment.
• Manage administrative tasks and support documentation processes within the theatre unit.
• Ensure efficient stock management and availability of essential medical supplies.
• Participate in continuous professional development and staff training initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a recognized Care Worker qualification (or a minimum of Grade 12 education).
• Proven previous experience working within a healthcare or clinical environment.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary medical team.
