Brewing Raw Materials Operator

About the role

The Brewing Raw Materials Operator is responsible for the receipt, storage, preparation and supply of raw materials used in the brewing process. The role ensures that materials meet quality and quantity specifications while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store and prepare raw materials, performing quality checks and ensuring correct specifications.
• Maintain safety and compliance by following storage procedures, reporting spills or hazards, and adhering to SHP safety standards.
• Support manufacturing excellence through efficient material handling, inventory accuracy, 5S tasks and autonomous maintenance.
• Prevent contamination by applying hygiene, sanitation and food‑safety practices; perform quality analyses and record expiry dates.
• Monitor process parameters, equipment performance and cold‑room temperature; document brewing reports, logbooks and dashboards.
• Identify and escalate material‑related issues such as shortages, damages or discrepancies to ensure uninterrupted production.

Required profile

• Matric Certificate (or equivalent).
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an industrial environment such as food production, manufacturing or agricultural processing.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.

• Inventory control and stock accuracy.
• Equipment operation (handling and dosing systems).
• Basic maintenance of material‑handling equipment.
• Accurate data recording and reporting.
