Area Marketing & Communications Manager

About the role

The Area Marketing & Communications Manager will lead all property‑level marketing, branding, public relations and communications initiatives for Pullman Cape Town City Centre. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will develop and execute plans that enhance market positioning and drive profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Execute annual marketing and communications plans aligned with budget, ROI targets and business objectives.
• Monitor industry, cultural and travel trends and conduct competitive analysis.
• Manage public relations activities, media relations, press events and familiarisation trips.
• Ensure brand consistency across guest touchpoints, signage, collateral, events and digital channels.
• Coordinate with design and production agencies for marketing materials, gifts and media giveaways.
• Create and maintain visual assets such as photography, videography and graphics following brand guidelines.
• Develop and track multi‑channel campaigns, sponsorships and brand activations.
• Maintain media databases, mailing lists and clipping reports, and handle crisis communication protocols.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property‑level marketing, branding, public relations and communications within the hospitality sector.
• Ability to collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, HR and external agency partners.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance against KPIs and adjust strategies.
