Workshop Foreman – Sandton

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to lead our Sandton automotive workshop. You will support the Workshop Controller, ensure compliance with manufacturer repair policies, and coordinate daily team activities across repairs, servicing, and support services.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate workshop tasks based on available hours.
• Assist technicians with diagnostic problems and conduct test drives.
• Supervise technical staff, manage apprentices, and ensure correct job card completion.
• Communicate technical information and decisions to customers.
• Oversee collaboration between Service Advisors, booking clerks, and technicians.
• Maintain hand tools, workshop assets, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Monitor health and safety compliance and manage administrative functions such as job card checks.

Required profile

• Grade 12/Matric qualification.
• Bilingual in English and another recognised language.
• Qualified technician with knowledge of popular automotive brands and dealership procedures.
• Strong computer literacy.
