Trade Accountant – Mining Finance

About the role

This position is for a technically strong CA(SA) to manage trade accounting within a leading mining organisation. You will work in a high‑performance finance team where precision, commercial insight and regulatory compliance drive strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage trade accounting processes across complex mining transactions.
• Prepare and review technical financial reports and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal governance standards.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting cycles.
• Analyse financial data to confirm commercial accuracy.
• Assist with financial controls, process improvements and audit queries.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide decision‑making support.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification (non‑negotiable).
• Minimum 1+ year post‑articles experience, preferably within the mining sector.
• Outstanding academic record, distinctions advantageous.
• Strong analytical and systems capability.
• High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
