About the role
The Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning is seeking a qualified professional to support the Director of Development Facilitation. Based in Cape Town’s central business district, the role contributes to resilient and sustainable development by delivering planning intelligence, research, and policy coordination across the Western Cape.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Director of Development Facilitation in providing development planning intelligence management services.
- Conduct and oversee development planning research to inform policy and practice.
- Deliver regional planning services that align with provincial sustainability goals.
- Coordinate development planning and land‑use planning policy initiatives with multiple government units.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure planning outcomes are resilient and sustainable.
Required profile
- Appropriately qualified and competent individual with experience in town and regional planning.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to resilient and sustainable development objectives.
