About the role
To ensure that all theatre cases are scheduled correctly to mitigate operational and financial risks and achieve effective utilisation of theatres.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule theatre cases correctly to ensure optimal utilisation of theatres as per hospital requirements.
- Distribute theatre lists promptly to all relevant parties according to the Patient Administration Manual.
- Load bookings and allocate wards to optimise bed utilisation in line with ward requirements.
Required profile
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Experience working with computers.
Required skills
- AS400 patient administration system.
- Microsoft Office suite.
- Level 1 clinical coding (ICD/CPT) for procedures.
- Theatre schedule allocation and ward bed management.
