Teaching Assistant – Part‑time (Band 3)

About the role

This part‑time, permanent Teaching Assistant position supports pupils across the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi‑Academy Trust. Working 6.5 hours per week over 39 weeks, you will help raise learning outcomes and promote independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with class teachers to improve pupil attainment.
• Promote pupils’ independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion.
• Provide individual or group support so pupils can access the curriculum and achieve success.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, supportive and committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils.
• Ability to build effective relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Willingness to adapt approaches to meet diverse pupil needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo DBS, medical and reference checks.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and relevant qualifications.

• No specific technical skills required; focus is on classroom support and pupil interaction.
