Store Leader – Retail Management

About the role

The Store Leader is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, profitability and operational excellence in a wellness‑focused retail environment. This role combines hands‑on floor management with strategic oversight of stock, cash and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer interactions, resolve complaints and ensure service standards are met.
• Optimize selling space, drive replenishment and maintain stock availability.
• Conduct floor walks to enforce housekeeping and store discipline.
• Achieve sales targets, reduce waste, improve stock accuracy and control controllable expenses.
• Interpret income statements, develop action plans and monitor financial performance.
• Ensure monthly audit benchmarks are met and continuously improve store productivity.
• Implement effective stock control, cash handling procedures and risk‑management practices.
• Lead, coach and develop team members, fostering a performance‑driven culture.

Required profile

• Grade 12 education plus completion of Wellness Foundation and Managerial training.
• Minimum 5 years retail experience, including 2‑3 years in a managerial role.
• At least 3 years experience in wellness retail (including management).
• Genuine interest in health and wellness, strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work weekends and extended retail hours; own transport is essential.
