About the role
Amazon Development Centre South Africa is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the team that builds and operates the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) service. You will work on high‑impact cloud APIs and collaborate with multiple engineering groups across AWS.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain EC2 API features and related cloud services.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for Amazon customers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong customer focus.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems and deliver effective solutions.
Required skills
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Ruby, Perl, Scala, C, C++, or C#.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, especially EC2 and related cloud technologies.
