Software Development Engineer – EC2

About the role

Join Amazon’s Managed Fleets team to build automation that manages millions of hosts across the AWS ecosystem. You will help customers define fleet size and shape, monitor health and efficiency, and contribute to large‑scale, secure, and reliable cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement software that enables fleet definition, monitoring, and optimization.
• Develop using Java, Typescript, React, Python and native AWS services.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and managers to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Participate in on‑call rotation (approximately once every six weeks) while striving for fault‑tolerant systems.
• Contribute to code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge‑sharing within the team.

Required profile

• Experienced software engineer with strong design and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to be a key technical contributor.
• Comfortable working on distributed systems, scalability, and high‑availability challenges.
