Slicer Operator & Production Assistant

About the Position

Join a dynamic production environment in Bloemfontein where precision and quality are our top priorities. We are seeking a versatile Slicer Operator to manage food product slicing while providing essential support in packing and logistics functions.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate slicing machinery safely and precisely to meet specific product dimensions (meat, cheese, bread, etc.).
• Perform high-quality packaging and labeling of sliced products according to company standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any technical malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness of the workstation and machinery in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Support logistics as a Van Assistant, including loading/unloading and assisting drivers during transit.
• Optimize material usage and minimize waste to ensure efficient production processes.

Candidate Profile

• Must hold a Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
• Proven experience in food production, packaging, or warehouse environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with high precision and strong attention to detail.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual handling tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and a dedicated team player.
• Flexible availability for shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in operating industrial slicing machinery.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP/Health & Safety).
• Basic skills in packaging, labeling, and inventory management.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina for loading/unloading and warehouse tasks.
