Senior Vice President, Real Estate, Client Coverage

About the role

Liberty is looking for a seasoned senior leader to head its Real Estate Client Coverage division in Johannesburg. The role combines trusted advisory responsibilities with strategic partnership, driving growth and delivering client‑centric solutions across the real‑estate finance landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage and grow a portfolio of real‑estate clients from initial engagement through ongoing relationship management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring client needs are understood and addressed throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop bespoke solutions aligned with client objectives and Liberty’s strategic goals.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to execute client solutions efficiently and collaboratively.
• Act as the first line of defence in risk management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct, collate and review detailed financial and valuation analyses to support decision‑making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives within client organisations.
• Contribute to revenue targets through effective client coverage and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• A first‑degree qualification in Banking, Finance or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of progressive client‑coverage experience with a deep understanding of the end‑to‑end client engagement value chain.
• Proven track record of developing and executing client‑centric solutions that drive growth and revenue.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage deal teams and cross‑functional groups.
• Strong background in risk management, acting as the first line of defence.
• Experience engaging with senior and executive‑level stakeholders and establishing credibility as a trusted advisor.
