Senior Tax Compliance Manager

About the Position

Join an ambitious international SME as a Senior Tax Compliance Manager. You will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end tax administration, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving the strategic development of our tax department in a dynamic global environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage full tax administration and maintain the Greatsoft database.
• Prepare and review SARS income tax returns, provisional tax, VAT, PAYE, dividends, and all other applicable taxes.
• Evaluate SARS assessments, manage e-filing payments, and handle objections, appeals, and ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution).
• Provide expert tax advice and manage estate taxation and WCA declarations.
• Oversee client portfolios, government contribution records, and SARS correspondence.
• Lead department growth through staff training, recruitment, and marketing initiatives.
• Ensure strict adherence to SARS deadlines and participate in internal tax knowledge sharing.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in tax compliance and management within a professional services environment.
• Strong expertise in SARS regulations and tax litigation processes (Objections/Appeals).
• Ability to manage complex client portfolios and provide strategic tax advisory.
• Leadership skills with a focus on team development and training.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to international tax learning (e.g., Dutch taxation).
