Senior Registered Nurse (Inpatients 1 & HDU)

About the role

The Senior Registered Nurse will work on Inpatients 1 and the High Dependency Unit (HDU) delivering high‑quality patient care within a NHS Scotland hospital. This part‑time position follows a Monday‑Thursday 07:30‑15:00 and Friday 07:30‑14:32 schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a range of clinical and non‑clinical services across all hospital and health‑centre areas.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, health & safety legislation, infection‑control protocols and Audit Scotland requirements.
• Adhere to the National Cleaning Services Specification and HAI task‑force guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and support audit activities as directed by the Division.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the UK.
• Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or willingness to obtain it.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Ability to work the specified part‑time shift pattern.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health & safety and infection‑control standards.
• Familiarity with NHS quality and audit procedures.
