Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex technical projects within our client environment. The role involves scoping, budgeting, risk and issue management, and delivering projects on schedule, leveraging strong business analysis and SDLC knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Compile business cases, requirements and process maps.
• Create and manage project schedules, statements of work, backlogs and task prioritisation.
• Manage project RAID, integration, change, budget and cost reporting.
• Oversee quality, conflict resolution and negotiations.
• Coordinate cross‑functional technical teams and steer release and configuration management.
• Report to steering committees and ensure adherence to internal processes and standards.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree or diploma in Programme/Project Management.
• PMP certification (non‑negotiable).
• Agile practitioner (SAFe or SCRUM) – certification preferred or obtainable shortly after onboarding.
• 3‑6 years of project management experience on technical projects (enterprise software, data) and over 10 years overall experience.
• Experience in the mining or banking industry and product lifecycle management.
• Background as a Scrum Master or EPIC Owner is beneficial.
• Knowledge of COBIT and ITIL is advantageous.
