Senior Interior Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead projects from concept through to final installation in our Greenpoint studio, Cape Town. You will work closely with the Design Director, Creative Director and Studio Manager to deliver bespoke, innovative interiors that exceed client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design from client brief through concept development, presentations, technical documentation and on‑site installation.
• Prepare detailed furniture layouts, lighting and electrical coordination drawings, joinery details, window treatments and artwork layouts.
• Produce full technical drawing packs including plans, sections, elevations and details.
• Collaborate with suppliers, consultants and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Manage multiple projects of varying scale, meeting deadlines with precision.
• Create compelling 3D visuals and architectural views for client presentations.
• Navigate complex Revit models confidently.
• Support and mentor junior and mid‑level designers.
• Maintain and evolve studio standards and procedures.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Interior Design or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of design experience, including at least five completed projects as a senior designer.
• Strong technical drawing skills and ability to communicate design details clearly.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing lighting, electrical, joinery and furniture layouts.
• Excellent spatial planning, texture, proportion and materiality sense.
