Senior Digital Designer

About the role

Great design has to do more than look good – it has to work. We are seeking a Senior Digital Designer to join a full‑service creative ad agency in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. The role is on‑site and focuses on creating strategically smart digital work for fast‑moving retail and FMCG clients, turning ideas into type, photography, illustration, colour and motion across web and cross‑platform campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital concepts for retail and FMCG brands across web and cross‑platform campaigns.
• Collaborate closely with Account Executives and the wider creative team to bring ideas to life through typography, photography, illustration, colour and motion.
• Maintain high‑quality output while meeting fast‑paced deadlines in a high‑output retail environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a digital design role.
• Certificate, Diploma or BA degree in Multimedia Design (plus Matric/Grade 12).
• Strong design aesthetic with command of colour, typography and layout.
• Strategic thinking ability to ideate across platforms, not just execute briefs.
• Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
