This high-impact role is built for a sharp, autonomous professional who excels at steering client‑facing financial operations. You will take full charge of a diverse portfolio, ensuring flawless execution of day‑to‑day accounting functions while maintaining rigid time‑tracking metrics for every account.

Key responsibilities

• Client Portfolio Accounting – serve as the dedicated financial anchor for various external businesses, handling bookkeeping duties up to trial balance.
• Time Tracking and Allocation – maintain precise time‑keeping logs for each client account to ensure accurate resource allocation and billing integrity.
• Payroll Administration – oversee end‑to‑end processing of monthly salaries, benefits and earnings structures using VIP Payroll.
• Statutory Compliance – manage the full lifecycle of VAT, PAYE, UIF and Workman’s Compensation submissions, ensuring accuracy and on‑time filing.
• System Management and Reporting – lead data processing and financial reporting workflows utilizing Pastel and advanced Excel.
• Ledger Governance – perform thorough bank and general ledger reconciliations across multiple corporate entities.
• Advisory Communication – act as the primary operational contact for business owners, translating complex financial queries into clear updates.

Required profile

• Education – National Senior Certificate (Matric) is required.
• Experience – 3 to 5 years of verified bookkeeping experience, preferably in an accounting firm or multi‑client agency.
• Technical Mastery – advanced, non‑negotiable proficiency in Pastel Accounting and Excel.
• Payroll Expertise – hands‑on experience with VIP Payroll.
• Communication – fully bilingual with strong verbal and written skills for executive‑level client interactions.
