Senior Backend Engineer – Node.js & Data Integrations

About the role

impact.com is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who loves crafting clean, high‑performance code. You will join the team that builds and maintains the core ETL platform that powers data flows between hundreds of partner systems. The role combines deep technical work with problem‑solving on complex third‑party integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable integrations using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Own the ETL engine – ensure resiliency, high throughput and data integrity.
• Build and improve crawlers and API consumers that connect to diverse external sources.
• Participate in a shared on‑call rotation, monitor system health and resolve production incidents.
• Drive quality improvements across data pipelines and codebase.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and architectural discussions.
