Sales Representative / Business Developer – Cape Town

About the role

Gerflor, a global leader in resilient flooring solutions, is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative / Business Developer to drive product specification and sales across key market sectors in the Western, Northern and Eastern Cape regions. Reporting to the West Africa Export Manager, you will collaborate with internal teams to expand the brand’s presence.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets by nurturing existing customers and acquiring new business.
• Analyse market competition, potential, and key players to recommend strategic actions.
• Manage and support current distributors while identifying and appointing new ones.
• Promote Gerflor products to architects, designers, builders, flooring contractors and end‑users.
• Train distributor sales teams, conduct joint visits and organise “Lunch & Learn” sessions.
• Implement pricing policy, track key projects and maintain CRM data.
• Participate in trade shows, roadshows and provide market intelligence on trends and standards.
• Handle customer complaints when required.

Required profile

• Degree from a business school.
• Minimum 5 years B2B sales and distributor management experience, preferably in the finishing sector (flooring, wall coverings, paint, sanitary equipment).
• Fluent English, sales‑driven, organised and autonomous.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and comfort working in an international environment.
• Proactive, accountable and comfortable with reporting and digital tools.
