About the role

Zuydam Konsult is seeking ambitious SAICA and CIMA trainee accountants who want more than a standard training contract. The programme offers practical exposure to numbers behind businesses while building commercial judgement and professional advisory skills.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting and financial reporting
• Management accounts and financial analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management
• Audit and assurance
• South African taxation, VAT and payroll
• Corporate and statutory compliance
• Business advisory and problem solving
• Client communication and relationship management
• Use of accounting systems, automation and cloud‑based technology

Required profile

• Academic degree in BCom Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance or related field (completed or in progress)
• Intention to pursue SAICA CA(SA) or CIMA professional qualification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn new technologies
• South African citizenship or right to work in South Africa
• Analytical mindset, curiosity about business operations, and problem‑solving ability
