SAICA Accountant – Pretoria

About the role

Our client, a well‑established professional services firm in Pretoria, is looking for a SAICA‑qualified Accountant to join a growing team that delivers accounting, tax and advisory services. The role is ideal for a candidate who has recently completed a SAICA training contract and possesses strong CaseWare expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, management accounts and tax returns for a diverse client base.
• Execute audit and assurance engagements in line with IRBA, SAICA and SAIPA standards.
• Work under the supervision of senior Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain direct client communication.
• Assist with accounting, tax and advisory projects across multiple industries.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing regulations.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high‑quality client outcomes.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) and an accredited BCom Accounting or equivalent degree.
• Completed SAICA training contract.
• Experience in a small firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors.
• Advanced proficiency with CaseWare.

Required skills

• CaseWare (advanced level).
