Retail Branch Manager – Ulundi

About the role

The Retail Branch Manager will lead the Ulundi branch of Sanlam Developing Markets, driving growth of the customer base and revenue. You will be responsible for executing the branch strategy and ensuring an optimal client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the retail branch strategy, overseeing sales delivery and service culture.
• Guide, integrate and standardise activities of Sales Consultants to meet branch goals.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, including compliance, risk, and quality assurance.
• Lead people practices with HR – talent management, performance, development, grievance handling and capacity planning.
• Plan and report monthly sales and service performance, and engage key internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with RE1 and RE5, plus 120 Wealth Management credits or a tertiary qualification recognised by the FSCA.
• Minimum 5 years recent industry experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in service management, insurance sales, and credit/lending.
• Continuous professional development compliance and relevant accreditation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in data analytics and data visualisation.
• Project management capabilities.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Knowledge of Sanlam insurance products (preferred).
