Reservations Specialist – Safari Tours

About the role

Exciting Travel & Tourism company with multinational offices offers a role coordinating memorable holidays for global travelers. The Reservations Specialist will manage flight bookings, ticketing and all on‑tour reservations for safari tours across East & Southern Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage flight bookings for travellers, staff and guides, using airline reservation systems to issue, modify and re‑validate tickets.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, fare rules and customer travel profiles while monitoring queues, schedules and ticketing deadlines.
• Handle private and VIP departures, duplicated or enhanced itineraries, and ensure clear communication with tour staff, fleet and operational teams.
• Manage the East & Southern Africa Reservations and Groups inboxes, providing timely responses and updates to stakeholders.
• Validate and reconcile supplier invoices with finance teams to ensure accurate payment processing.
• Support global sales with last‑minute changes and carry the emergency phone on a rotational basis.

Required profile

• 3+ years of travel industry experience with hands‑on reservations and operations.
• 1–2 years of experience using a GDS (travel system) and familiarity with airline procedures.
• Diploma or degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in fast‑paced environments.
