Remote Call Centre Collection Agent

About the role

The Work from Home Call Centre Collection Agent will operate remotely, using their own workspace and equipment. This is a commission‑based permanent position focused on recovering overdue payments.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone to collect overdue payments.
• Negotiate payment plans and resolve payment issues.
• Build rapport with customers and encourage timely payment.
• Document all communications clearly and concisely.
• Meet daily, weekly and monthly collection targets to earn commission.
• Follow up on promised payments and commitments.
• Escalate difficult cases to a team leader or manager.
• Maintain compliance with collection laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification (tertiary qualification advantageous).
• At least one year of experience in collections or customer service (advantageous).
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and achieve collection targets.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Capability to handle difficult customers with professionalism.
• Knowledge of collection laws and regulations is an asset.
• Computer literacy and a reliable internet connection with a quiet workspace.
