Quality Assurance Analyst – Work Experience Student (Lab)

About the role

The Work Experience Student (WES) – Day Laboratory role supports the Quality Department in a manufacturing environment. You will gain hands‑on exposure to quality management systems, laboratory operations, sensory evaluation, and continuous improvement programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the water testing bench, conduct routine sampling and testing, and report results.
• Maintain the sample retention store and oversee shelf‑life and flavour stability evaluations.
• Support incoming raw material and packaging material inspections.
• Identify and raise food safety risks, observations, and non‑conformances.
• Assist with PRP/GMP audits, GEMBA walk‑abouts, and other governance activities.
• Participate in sensory evaluation and investigative activities.
• Help with documentation control, KPI and trend reporting, and data integrity.
• Manage inventory and consumables, and uphold safety and 5S standards in the laboratory.

Required profile

• Current student seeking practical experience in quality assurance or food safety.
• Strong interest in laboratory work, food safety, and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to learn, follow procedures, and work collaboratively.
