Qualified Electrician – Pretoria

About the role

The company is seeking a qualified electrician to join its team in Pretoria. The role involves working on construction, infrastructure reticulation and renewable energy projects, including solar installations and automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations across various sites.
• Conduct electrical testing and fault finding, especially on solar systems.
• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs.
• Install and commission solar power systems.
• Ensure compliance with documentation and safety regulations.
• Supervise junior team members.

Required profile

• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Valid driver’s licence and clear criminal record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Completed trade test as an electrician (wireman’s licence advantageous).
• 3‑5 years experience in construction or reticulation electrical work.
• Experience with electrical projects, automation, renewable energy and infrastructure reticulation.
• Ability to read site plans, single‑line diagrams, electrical schematics and general arrangements.
• Sound knowledge of electrical safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in electrical installations, testing, lighting installation, and solar system fault finding.
