QHSE Scheme Manager

About the role

The Scheme Manager – QHSE provides technical, administrative and systems support to the Technical Manager and oversees a team of auditors delivering QHSE certification services. The role ensures compliance with global and local procedures, maintains auditor competency, and drives operational efficiency across ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage QHSE product requirements and day‑to‑day auditor activities.
• Support auditors with administrative, IT and audit‑related issues.
• Guide audit planning, prepare audit programmes and coordinate with international affiliates.
• Oversee auditor recruitment, onboarding, training and qualification.
• Maintain local accreditation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and participate in accreditation assessments and internal audits.
• Conduct audits, prepare findings, and perform technical reviews of audit packs.
• Achieve unit performance targets, KPI’s and client follow‑up requirements.
• Assist business development activities and liaise with external stakeholders.
• Provide technical support for training material development.

Required profile

• Current Lead Auditor status for at least one relevant standard.
• Proven experience maintaining accreditation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong knowledge of QHSE certification processes and Business Assurance systems.
• Ability to manage and develop a team of auditors.
• Experience in audit planning, internal audits (L2/L3) and impartiality committee participation.
